Yard of nature

My name is Steve Begnoche. By day (and some nights) I am a newspaper editor, writer and photographer. I have a keen interest in the outdoors and can be found kayaking, fishing, hiking, photographing landscapes and x-c skiing when not working or in my yard in Ludington, Michigan. I'm a fan of nature writer Sigurd Olson and his concept of "listening points" which is the inspiration for this hub. Stewardship, conservation and love of the outdoors is made more possible by looking and listening to the natural world. I do that through photography. My goal was to make at least one photo a day for a year in my 3 acre yard. I began Aug. 16, 2009. The daily shooting is completed.
